Variegated Prickly Pear Cactus

The Variegated Prickly Pear Cactus is a stunning succulent that brings vibrant color and architectural interest to any space. Its flat, segmented pads feature beautiful marbling in shades of cream, golden-yellow, and green, earning it names like "Sunburst" or "Joseph's Coat." At maturity, this eye-catching plant produces bright pink, magenta, or pale yellow seasonal flowers.

This low-maintenance succulent thrives in bright, direct sunlight and requires minimal water—simply allow soil to dry completely between waterings and reduce watering in winter. It prefers fast-draining cactus or succulent potting mix and temperatures above 50°F. Perfect for containers indoors or ground planting in warm climates, it can grow 3 to 10 feet depending on your setup. Easily propagated from individual pads, the Variegated Prickly Pear is ideal for collectors and beginners alike.
